INDESCAT invites you to participate in the 3rd edition of INDESUP! Sports Investment Forum, which will take place in Barcelona on 12th of November 2019, within the framework of Sports Innovation Day.

If you have an entrepreneurship project related to the sports sector, do not hesitate to send us the application form, together with the profit and loss account and the Investor Deck in ppt (optional) of your start-up at xfaura@indescat.org

The deadline for submitting the proposals is the 22th of October 2019

CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF CANDIDATES

Activity related to the world of sport:
Performance and sports training
Health and nutrition for sports
Sports facilities and smart facilities management
Development of new products or services
Athletes tracking
New business models and new sports modalities
Organization of Sports events
Fan engagement
e-sports
Marketing / sponsorship
Sports tourism
Search for a private financing round over 50,000€.
Management team composed of 2 or more members
Perfectly defined business plan
Product / Service technically validated and / or by the market
With billing or sales
Not having been selected in previous editions of the Sport Investment Forum of INDESUP!

PROJECT SELECTION AND PRESENTATION PROCESS

The proposals received will be studied by a selection committee formed by mentors of INDESUP!
Based on this analysis, the 6 start-ups that are considered of greatest interest to investors will be selected.
The selection criteria will be as follows:

Business viability: business model, economic viability, competition level, go-to-market strategy, etc.
Management team capacity: degree of involvement, skills, experience, etc.
Impact of the project: generation of jobs, richness, knowledge, increase of the sports practice, etc.
Degree of innovation: To what extent is the project disruptive to the existing reality?
Degree of maturity of the project

The projects will be presented in an elevator pitch format (5'), by a member of the entrepreneurial team.
The selected companies are expected to participate in a pitch training workshop before their presentation at the Sports Investment Forum.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT

The application to the process has no cost. If due to the participation in the Sport Investment Forum, the start-up closes some financing agreement / round, the start-up will be under an obligation to quote its participation in the forum as the beginning of the closing of the financial round.

If a start-up is selected to participate in the forum, you must formally register for the Sports Innovation Day (Inscription: 60€ per person).

The participation in the INDESUP! Sports Investment Forum automatically involves the start-up application for the VI Premis Empresa i Esport, in the Entrepreneurship category.

The Best Practices in Healthy Companies Conference was successfully held this Friday, June 6th, at the Tabaris Building in Coma-ruga (El Vendrell). The event was organized by the Associació Corporativa Empresa Saludable (ACES) with the collaboration of various key local stakeholders, including the Ajuntament del Vendrell, Ranking Games, Umivale Activa, FCC Medi Ambient, and the INDESCAT cluster itself.

Around twenty managers of sports facilities completed the 6th EFISport Course on Energy Management in Sports Facilities on May 14th, 2025. Organized by INDESCAT and the Catalan Energy Efficiency Cluster (CEEC), with the support of ACCIÓ, the course provided a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals for managing energy efficiently in sports facilities.

Over the nine training sessions held between March 18th and May 14th, participants explored key topics such as energy digitalization and monitoring, energy contracting, thermal and solar-electric production, home automation, circular economy, and water-saving and reuse strategies

This Thursday, May 8th, INDESCAT and the WeMind Cluster held the event “The Challenge of Longevity: The Role of Physical and Mental Health.” An initiative co-organized by both clusters with the collaboration of ACCIÓ and the sponsorship of Technogym and Tecnosport.

The event, hosted at the headquarters of the WeMind Cluster, was part of an open innovation strategy aimed at creating synergies between the sports and health sectors, to foster the development of high-potential collaborative projects with a strong impact on the promotion of well-being and quality of life.

The international cycling festival Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Garmin, held in Girona on 19, 20 and 21 September, and the sports industry cluster, INDESCAT, have renewed their strategic collaboration agreement by which they seek to combine synergies to enhance the sports sector.
